NEWS: FENESTRAE Project at the European Research Night 2025

Friday September 26th 2025 Politecnico di Bari team presented the FENESTRAE Project during the European Research Night 2025, bringing to a mixed audience examples of electrochromic and thermochromic glazings and the advantages they can bring to energy saving and comfort in buildings. During the event a small scale demonstrator with operable windows (including one electrochromic glazing that can be switched on and off  by application of an electric current) and a larger thermochromic glazing changing transparency (and turning to diffuse) when heated, were shown, letting people interact with them. The audience included people of all ages who were informed about the potential of the technology and its physical principles and asked details about the project. During the whole day spent at the stand more than one hundred interactions took place.
